The UK’s leading event dedicated to building learning environments took place on Tuesday 7 May at the Westminster Park Plaza in London.  This year Building Future Education had evolved into a top-level conference, networking event and gala dinner fully supported by the Education Funding Agency.

Delegates gained insights into the policy, strategy, funding and design of new schools from the EFA’s senior/executive managers – via keynote speeches by Peter Lauener and Mike Green, and panel contributions from Mairi Johnson, Rachel Stephenson and Mike Coleman.

Plus there was lively commentary and debate from other industry figures such as Rob Charlton of Space Group, Keith Rayner of BAM, Marcel Hendricks of the Education Construction Network, and experienced headteachers such as Chris Gerry and Rachel de Souza.

Over 400 people attended this year, including officers from 40 different local authorities and several dozen project officers from the Education Funding Agency and Academy Sponsors.
